Performance Tire & Auto is a family owned and operated company. We are celebrating over 76 years in business and have built a reputation of treating our employees like family. We have been voted Best Tire Store of Topeka for over 16 years. We have an immediate need for a front line team member.

NO Weekends - We are picky though

1st - You need to have a positive attitude and respect your fellow employees. 
2nd - You need to be reliable and ready to support a team & family 
3rd - You need to be strong. Some tire/wheel assemblies can be heavy. 
4th - You need to be a skilled individual who can carry our reputation. Whether its changing tires on a Tesla or doing an oil change on a 1985 Ford Taurus, we have built our stores in Topeka on our quality of work and not how many tires we sold. 
5th- You need to be a problem solver. We work on all kinds of cars/trucks. Not just Toyota or just Chevrolets. Thus, you must be able to adapt and perform on everything.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity 
  Be able to use a tablet and input information
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
• Tire repairs, tire installation, and rotation.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
• Shop cleaning, bathroom cleaning, and warehouse upkeep as needed

Skills

• Willing to learn all responsibilities Be Coach-able
• Positive attitude
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Good physical condition
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
• Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus

Job Type

• Full-time
• Salary: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
